A native of Lexington, KY, Katie Padgett Brown spent her early days training at
Diana Evans School of Dance. She has performed in local and national dance
festivals, concerts, and competitions.
Having taught at dance studios in Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, and North Carolina, Katie’s performance credits include The Kennedy Center (DC), Lincoln Center (NYC), The Contemporary Art Museum (Chicago), Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts (Vienna, VA), and The Ellington Theatre (DC), among others.
Her students have gone on to dance at The Julliard School (NYC), The Mark Morris Dance Group (Brooklyn), Houston Ballet 2, The Richmond Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, The Boston Ballet, numerous Broadway shows, regional theatre productions, and various college and university dance programs across the United States.
Katie is a proud honors graduate of Elon University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
